Family experience at SIS
We support the entire family during your time at SIS
The strong sense of community at SIS continues well beyond the first day of school. Throughout the year, families stay supported, informed, and connected through a wide range of school and SIS Parent Community (SPC) activities designed to help everyone thrive.
At the start of term, parents are invited to presentations, workshops, and online sessions that introduce our curriculum and learning approach. Families joining later in the year receive the same personalised support, with staff always available to help with academics, routines, and student wellbeing.
The SPC’s dedicated parent volunteers also create a vibrant social calendar that brings the community together. From student dances and parent talks to Halloween celebrations and informal gatherings, these events help friendships grow across cultures and age groups.
One of the highlights of the year is International Day, a joyful celebration of the 60+ nationalities represented at SIS. Families share food, music, traditions, and creativity from around the world, turning the school into a vibrant showcase of global culture and community spirit.
Whether families arrive at the start of the year or midway through, SIS and the SPC ensure there are always opportunities to connect and belong. Here, families become part of a welcoming international community that supports one another every step of the way.
