Stockholm International School is a non-profit foundation. It is guided by a Board of Trustees who help set the long-term direction of the school and make sure it is well managed.

The Board includes parents, staff, and members of the wider community, such as business leaders and diplomatic professionals. This ensures that different views and experiences are represented. Board members volunteer their time and are not paid for their service.

Trustees usually serve for five years or more, which helps provide stability and continuity. The Board meets several times each year. It appoints the Director and supports school leadership in making important decisions. This helps ensure the school remains strong academically, financially, and as a caring international community.
